আগে আব্বু প্রায় প্রায় লটারি কিনে দিতো। এই আগে মানে আমার নিজের বয়স যখন দশ বছর ছিল তখনকার কথা আর কি! এবং লটারি বলতে অমুক "হাসপাতাল বানানোর নিমিত্যে দশ টাকা দিয়ে লটারি কিনে জিতে নিতে পারেন পাঁচ লক্ষ টাকা" টাইপ মরিচীকার হাতছানি। সে লটারি জিতে বড়লোক হতে বাংলা সিনেমার নায়ক ছাড়া আর কাউকে দেখিনি। কিন্তু আধুনিক গিভ এওয়ে তে নাম দেওয়াটা বোধহয় ঐ ছোটকালের হাতছানি থেকে মাথার মধ্যে গেড়ে বসে আছে।

তা বহুখানে ঠোকর খেয়ে কিছু না শিখে ন্যাড়া আবারও বেল তলায় গেল অর্থাৎ লটারি লটারি খেলায় নাম দিল। কি আজব! আলীবাবার কপালের মতো কপালটা খুলে গেল এবার। BOOQUOTATIONS আর @mayurpankhipublishing এর যৌথ আয়োজনে করা এই গিভ এওয়ে তে আমার অংশগ্রহণে মেঘাত্রি পেয়ে গেল একটা আদরে ভরপুর বই। সে এখন রোজ এটা বুকে নিয়ে ঘুমায়। বাঘ মামাই এর গল্পটা তার বেজায় পছন্দ। হতেই হবে। তার মায়ের যে ধ্রুব এষের আঁকা খুব প্রিয়।

আজকে দুপুরে দেখি সে উপুড় হয়ে তার পুতুল পাখিকে টেনে টেনে বই পড়ে শোনাচ্ছে। কিভাবে বাঘ মামাইটা অরনী সোনার কোলে এসেও টুপুশ করে হারিয়ে গেল।আর অরনী ফুলটার মনে সে কি দু:খ। মময়ূরপঙ্খির আরো দুইটা বই আগে থেকে মেঘের ছিল। এটা যেন তাকে সেগুলোর মতোই বন্ধুত্ব পাতিয়ে ফেললো এক নিমিষে।

এটা উপহার বলে আমি বিশ্লেষণে গেলাম না। একরাশ ধন্যবাদ @mayurpankhipublishing আর booquotations কে। বাচ্চাদের মনের দেয়াল রঙ করাটা খুব কঠিন। কিন্তু সেই দায়িত্ব সাহসের সাথে পালন করে যান এই কামনা রইলো।

Sister of the Bollywood Bride by @nandinirb

My thirsty south asian soul always get attracted to desi titles and so picked this book last month for a light read. Besides my heart was aching for not able to attend my cousin's wedding last week.

Wedding is a colourful celebration of joining hearts and families. Ms. Nandini here in this book brought out the colour but successfully put light on the stressed person beside a bride in a wedding home - her sister.

I have seen my sisters in my wedding. I have been that sister during my cousin's wedding. It's a birth right and duty we get with a sister to arrange a hell of a wedding - bollywood or not! Nandini Bajpai explains Mini's anxiety, effort, dream of arranging a wedding of her sister Vinnie with so much live that it becomes very real.

At a point I felt like everything Mini is asking for is fitting like a puzzle which is not realistic. However after finishing two third of the book I found the taste of a wedding when there was chaos in every arrangement and see Mini's stress over them. I am happy that the author kept main focus on the wedding rather than Mini's love life. But Vinnie - the bride's involvement on her own wedding kinda bumped me down.

It's a very light fluffy book but I would love to read more books by the author because she made it relatable and crisp. I would like it more if she had indulged it with more emotions. This book made me wanna be a wedding planner for a while although the dialogues and some of the actions have their own ups and downs.

Today I finally turned naughty thirty but Gracefully erasing the 'naughty part' as I have discovered one of the most beautiful thing about myself. I can be happy for strangers no string attached and realizing this makes my day yellow.

আজকে অফিস থেকে বের হয়ে আমার কান্না পেয়ে গেল। একেবারে স্রোতস্বিনীর মতো চোখের পানি কোত্থেকে যে নিশ্চুপ একান্ত দুপুরে চলে আসা উটকো মেহমান।

আমি রিকশায় বসে তার কারণ খুঁজে বেড়াই আর চোখের পানি সামলাই। ঠিক চারদিন আগে পরিবারের একজন কে হারিয়েছি। বহুকাল পর হারানোর স্বাদ যারা এখনো আছে ; তাদের জন্য ভয় ধরায়। রুমের লাইট নিভালে মনে হয় কবরটার ভিতরে দিনের বেলাতেও কি অস্থির অন্ধকার। চারদিন ধরে আমার শীত শীত লাগছে। এ শীতলতা কি ভয়ের? গা কাঁপুনি দিয়ে কি আসে?

রিকশাওয়ালা মামার শরীরে শুমাখারের আত্মা। আমি দামী গাড়িওয়ালার গরিবী গালিতে চমকে উঠি। চিন্তার তার কাটা ঘুড্ডির মতো পাক খায়। কিন্তু শীত শীত ভাব কমে না। সাড়ে তিন বছরের মেঘাত্রি কেন বুঝদার হয়ে উঠছে এখনই, তা ভেবে আবার চোখ ভিজাই।

আকাশে আমি চাঁদ খুঁজি কিন্তু চাঁদ আমাকে খুঁজে না। সেখানে কার চোখ! যে সব দেখে! আমি ভাবি এই তো! দাঁতে দাঁত চেপে আর কিছুদিন আট টা থেকে আটটা দৌড়াবো। এ এম- পি এম কে কাঁচকলা দেখিয়ে আমি ছুটবো মেঘের হাত ধরে তেপান্তরের মাঠে। আকাশের চোখটায় আমি নানা অর্থের হাসি দেখি। আমি অন্যদিকে তাকিয়ে থাকি, সে আমাকে দেখে। এভাবেই চলবে জানি।

শুক্রবার দিনটা এমন ঢিলেঢালা, দরজি যেন ইচ্ছা করে ভুল মাপে জামা বানিয়ে পাঠিয়ে দিয়েছে। কত ভাবি সক্কাল সক্কাল উঠে একটু নিজের মতোন করে সময়গুলো কাজে লাগাবো। লাগাই শুধু ভর দুপুরে নীলকন্ঠের গাছ। কবে লতা বেয়ে উঠবে সে আমার রেলিং ধরে, কবে জ্যাক নামের দুস্টু ছেলেটা তরতর করে তা বেয়ে দেখবে উপরে রয়েছে এক দৈত্য ঘুমিয়ে।

শুক্রবারে আমি ভাবি একটু প্রিয় বইখানা পড়বো, একটু ঘর গুছাবো, একটু প্রাণ জুড়ে ঘুমাবো। ঘুমটুকু হয় আলস্য জড়িয়ে, বাকিসব লবডঙ্কা। নিজের বাড়ির হেঁশেলে যাবার আগে পাশের বাড়ি থেকে আসা পোলাও মাংশের গন্ধ শুকে নেই প্রাণভরে। এরপর সিদ্ধান্ত বদলে হিমঘর থেকে বের হয় পাব্দা মাছের বদলে খাসীর গোশ, পটলের বদলে বেগুন এর চাক ভাজি৷

শুক্রবারটা একটা উৎসব। বাবার পাজামা-পাঞ্জাবি ভাঁজের ফাঁকে আদর লুকিয়ে থাকে৷ জায়নামাজ আর ভাংতি টাকা গুছিয়ে দেই। দুই -পাঁচ টাকার নোট সওয়াব ভিক্ষা করতে বের হয়। মার হাতে জন্মের কাজ।শুক্রবার আমার মার জন্য না। মা আমার অবেতনভূক দায়িত্ব নিয়ে চলে তার মতো।

আমি আলস্য ফেলে ভাবি এবার অনেক হলো৷ যাই একটু বাইরে। প্রিয় চন্দ্রবিন্দুর গানটার সাথে মন নাচাই। বন্ধুকে বলি বেড়োবে কিনা সন্ধ্যায়। সে রাজি হলে আবার খুঁতখুঁত করে ভিতরটা। ধুর! না বললেই হতো। আবার চলে যাবার পর যখন গল্পে কথায় সবাই মিলে কলকাতা কফি হাউজ বানিয়ে ফেলি, তখন একটা ফুরফুরে ভাব আসে। হালকা শরীর নিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরি। সামনের শুক্রবার না আসা পর্যন্ত এটাই ফিউয়েল৷

শুক্রবার টা সপ্তাহে দুই বার থাকবার দরকার ছিল। শুক্রবারটা কেন টুপ করে পালিয়ে যায়?

সেল্ফ লাভ শব্দটাকে ধাক্কা দিয়ে সমাজ ঋণাত্মক দিকে নিতে চায় বারবার অথচ নিজের সবকিছু ভালবাসতে না পারার দায় থেকেই বিষ উগ্রে দেওয়াটা আপন করে নিয়েছে সবাই। নিজেকে ভালবাসাটা কি কঠিন করে তুলে চারপাশের নোনা ধরা মানুষগুলো।

মন অদৃশ্য বস্তু। তার কথা তাই গোনায় না ধরে সুন্দর সবকিছুর দায় এই শরীর বয়ে বেড়ায়। কেন মোটা হলে? এ মা! ভাত খাওয়া কমিয়ে দাও৷ জামা কাপড়ে একদম মানাবে না! কেন এত শুকনা? বাপের/জামাইয়ের খুব পয়সা বাঁচাচ্ছো বুঝি? বনলতার সাথে অনেক বচ্ছর পর দেখা হলে দুই কথার পরে শরীরের পরিবর্তনের প্রশ্নতে গিয়ে ঠেকে না বলেই তা পরে আরাম লাগে।

কোথায়? এতদিন পর দেখা।জানতে তো চাও না আমি আগের মতো লিখতে ভালবাসি কিনা, নতুন কার গান আজকাল শুনছি। সব প্রশ্ন আর কথা গিয়ে ঠেকে আমার শরীরে? যেন আমার আয়নায় পরেছে পারদ - সেখানে আমি ঠিকমতো নিজেকে দেখিনা।নাকি তোমরা চাও আমি আর যেন নিজেকে না দেখি। কেন? এই যে বহু বছর ধরে তোমাকেও কেউ বলে আসছে ক্ষণে ক্ষণে তোমার শরীরের আনাচ কানাচের বদলের কথা,তাই বুঝি? তুমি ভাবো, এটাই নিয়ম, এটাই দায়িত্ব! ভাবোনা কেন তোমার কথা শুনে আমি আজ তিন বছর ১২ হাতের বসন জড়াতে ভয় পাই, নিজেকে ভালবাসতে যুদ্ধ করতে হয়, আমি বাইরে যাবার আগে দশবার ভাবি, ছবি তুলবার সময় অন্যের আড়ালে দাঁড়াই।

এই যে আমার মতো অর্বাচীনের মন খারাপের কারণ হচ্ছো। তা শুধু নিজেকে সময়মতো ভালবাসলে না ভেবে। চারপাশটা রঙিন করবার বদলে সেপিয়া করছো কেন?

*এটা আবোলতাবোল লেখা। লিখবো ভাবছিলাম অনেকদিন ধরে এটা নিয়ে কারণ নিজের কিছু কষ্ট লুকিয়ে আছে। @suchonalways_ এর সেদিনের পোস্ট পড়ে মনে হলো এবার দিয়েই দেই।

নিজেকে ভালবাসো। তখন সবাইকে ভালবাসা অনেক সহজ হয়ে যায়।

I started watching Friends in 1995. Most of the episodes till 1997 flew up over my head because of the intimidating English language. The dedicated audience and fan in my house were my mid 20 something aunt and my uncle. Thanks to them, they were kind enough to include me in their gang and translated the dialogues and kept me up with the story.

Days were lengthy as no online streaming was there. Still a big thanks to Star World for bringing this show to our home with limitations but lots of fun. May 6, 2004, was a memorable day as the journey with friends was standing at the purple door with the yellow frame for saying the last ‘bye’. At that time I didn’t need my homies much to explain to me what was happening because my English was improved a bit. However, I needed them beside me to watch the door closed for one last time with teary eyes.

The journey with friends was long but personally, I didn’t wait for their reunion. I was content knowing that they are happy. I was content watching fan-made trailers on Youtube and rumours of their coming back in a movie. An official announcement of a reunion is nerve-wracking for me and I guess for many people. There is a chance to spoil the essence, the feelings of being content with the season finale ending the prehistory of so many reunion episodes of other tv shows. Thanks to the show creators for bringing this wonderful tale of friendship and love into our lives but a big thanks to them for not ruining it and respect the audience’s waiting and feelings through the reunion. They had every chance of it but they did make the right decision to present it in the right way.

the one hour forty minutes of reunion is definitely one of the best investments of my time because it made me overwhelmed. I believe there is a huge pressure on the creators to serve us right. They made the best decision to make this a reunion of casts, crews and fans. A table read instead of a new episode of peeking what happened 17 years later just top-notch. It had a risk of not making new fans but they win it.

Posting a random photo of eid week. Thanks god our government finally took the decision to open interdistrict transport with limitations. During Eid week, people had endured a lot just to get home to enjoy eid vacation and then got back to big cities.

In this case I do take sides of people because looking at our economical side and toxic work environment and routine, there’s no way you can deprive them of having this yearly vacation with their loved ones. This is happening for third Eid instead.
It would be wiser for the authorities to take this decision before Eid so that we hadn’t had to see them journey like this.

Idk why I am Rambling about this but I think I need to. Okay bye!

মৃত্যুর পরের তের দিন বড় কষ্টের৷ যে দেহের ভেতর করে পৃথিবীর এতোখানি দেখে ফেললাম, সে মায়া ফেলে ধোঁয়া হয়ে পাক খায় প্রিয়জনের স্মৃতিতে। মন আর আত্মা যেন এখানেই রয়ে যায়। ঘুন ধরা দরজার জং পরা ছিটকানিতে, রকে ভুল করে রাখা চায়ের কাপের হ্যান্ডেলে, বাসি ফুলের মালার বিনুনিতে। তের দিন ধরে ঘুরপাক খেয়ে মরি। তের দিন পর মুক্তি মিলবে যদি প্রিয় আত্মজ নিয়ম মানে অংকের সূত্রের মতো।

রাম প্রসাদ আর তার স্ত্রী একা একা থাকেন। ছবির প্রথম দৃশ্যে তআই মালুম হয়। চার ছেলে দুই মেয়ে নিজের সংসার জটিলতা নিয়ে দূরে দূরে। পর্দায় তাদের পদার্পণ হয় দলে বলে যখন রামপ্রসাদ বাবু আর ধরায় নেই। এখান থেকে তের দিনের যাত্রা, রাম বাবুর তেরভি নামক আচার পূজার মাধ্যমে স্বর্গে যাবার গল্পই হলো সিনেমার মূল চালিকা। চালিয়ে নিয়ে গেছেন অতি পরিচিত মুখরা নিপুণ দক্ষতায়।গাড়ি তাই ব্রেকফেল হয়নি।

সবথেকে ভাল লাগবার জায়গা হলো, এই যে একটা পরিবারের বয়োজ্যেষ্ঠ ব্যক্তি চলে যাবার গল্পে মৃতের বাড়িতে রাত দিন যা হয় তা একদম পুংখানুপুংখ ভাবে উঠে এসেছে। সে গল্পে বেদনা আছে, স্মৃতিরোমন্থন আছে, হাসি আছে, কষ্টের আড়ালে কিছু লুকিয়ে থাকা আক্রোশ আছে। কমিক রিলিফ দেবার জন্য যাদের কে রাখা হয়েছে,তারাও যেন অতি প্রয়োজনীয়। রিলিফ দেওয়া নয়, এ ধরনের আত্মীয় প্রত্যেক পরিবারে থাকে। প্রতিটা সম্পর্ক এত নিখুঁত লেগেছে আমার কাছে। মাঝপথে হালকা ঝুলে যাওয়া এবং একটা অপ্রয়োজনীয় গান ও অনৈতিক প্রেমের আভাস বাদে সিনেমাটা দেখা যায় তার চিত্রনাট্যর জন্য। আর যদি একটি কারণ চায় কেউ সিনেমাটি দেখবার তাহলে বলতে হবে সুপ্রিয়া পাঠক এর নাম। কি যে অনবদ্য, সংযত, স্থির। তাকে টেনে নিতে হিয়েছে সঙ্গীহারা স্ত্রী, মমতাময়ী মা, দাদী, দূরে থাকা শ্বাশুড়ীর চরিত্র। এতগুলো ভার উনি একা উঠিয়ে পুরো গল্পটাকে সত্যি করে তুলেছেন। নাসিরুদ্দিন শাহ এর ৫ মিনিটের স্ক্রিন প্রেজেন্সের কথা বললাম না কারণ তাকে ঘিরে এত আয়োজন। যদি ভালবাসেন পারিবারিক সম্পর্কের টানাপোড়েন, ভাইবোনের মাঝে সরলতা-জটিলতার বিক্রিয়া তবে তো এই সিনেমা সোনায় সোহাগা।

ডিরেক্টর সীমা পাহওয়ার নিজের লেখা 'পিন্ডদান' গল্প থেকে উঠে আসা চিত্রনাট্যটি শক্তি পেয়েছে ২৭ জন কাস্টের অভিনয়ে। শুধু মা আর বড় ছেলে মেয়ের বয়সটা বড্ড বেমানান। গানটার কোন দরকারই ছিল না বরং মনে লেগে থাকা আবহ সংগীতকে আরো জোর দিলে পরিপূর্ণতা পেতো।

watch it. অভিনয়ের জন্য হলেও দেখা দরকার।
